We all know about frying fish and chips. But now Birmingham Press Club is cooking up something new – flying fish and chips!
Together with Take Flight Aviation, the Press Club is holding a “summer special” at Wellesbourne Airfield, near Stratford upon Avon, on Thursday, 14 July.
Take Flight with the Press Club
Members will be able to take a flight in a light aircraft over the stunning Stratford and Warwickshire countryside – and afterwards indulge in a delicious fish and chip supper in the airfield clubhouse, as well as being able to inspect some iconic classic cars.
Event organiser Adrian Kibbler said: “Thanks to Take Flight Aviation, we’re looking forward to a fantastic evening out. It’ll be a great experience – and I hope people remember to bring their video cameras along with them to get some stunning aerial shots.”
Take Flight Aviation, which provides flying lessons, training and light aircraft hire, has been based at Wellesbourne for over ten years and now also operates out of London Oxford Airport. It has a fleet of more than a dozen aircraft, which undergo stringent maintenance checks after every 50 hours of flying time.
The event starts at 6.30 and will finish at dusk.
The cost is £40 + VAT per person.
