One of the most recognised faces on Midlands television, Bob Warman is the world’s longest-serving anchorman on the same programme – having originally joined ATV, the forerunner of today’s ITV Central News, in 1973.
Bob trained as a print journalist with the Birmingham Post & Mail group and went on to join BBC Radio Birmingham before launching his successful television career.
Between 1976-79 he was with Yorkshire Television, presenting ‘Calendar,’ the regional news magazine.
Away from the studio, Walsall-born Bob is involved in a number of local societies and charities. He is vice-chairman of Birmingham Civic Society and a patron of Acorn’s Children’s Hospice.
