Marc Reeves is editor of the Birmingham Mail, the Birmingham Post and the Sunday Mercury. He is also West Midlands editor-in-chief for Trinity Mirror, whose stable includes the Sentinel in Stoke, the Coventry Telegraph and the Tamworth Herald. Birmingham-born, he has worked as a journalist and executive in the regional press for almost 30 years, having started his career in weeklies in the Midlands, including the Walsall Advertiser. His career has taken him to every corner of England, including stints in Cumbria, Northampton, Humberside and London and the South East.
In a short break with the industry he launched TheBusinessDesk.com in Birmingham, founded a public affairs agency and launched political blog The Chamberlain Files. He has led - and continues to lead - the transformation of newspaper titles into the digital powerhouses he believes they must become to survive. Outside of work he likes the occasional nap and a glass or three of red.
